With the continued generous support of Xstrata Coal NSW, Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter has expanded the services provided to the Upper Hunter Valley.
In addition to the existing Personal and Relationship Counselling and free Financial Counselling offered in Singleton, Lifeline now offers the Hunter Support Program and the Upper Hunter Men's Project to meet the specific needs of the Upper Hunter Community.
The Hunter Support Program provides counselling, training and suicide prevention services across the Singleton and Muswellbrook regions.
The program combines existing Lifeline services including:
The Hunter Valley Men's Project is a Lifeline initiative for men who choose to stop hurting and frightening their families through violent and abusive behaviours and want assistance to find ways to develop positive relationships with their families.
Services include referrals to personal counselling, relationship counselling, financial counselling, drug and alcohol counselling, parenting programs and programs for separated dads.
