In 2004, Lifeline Newcastle and Hunter created the Men’s Action Towards Engaging Support (MATES) Manual to encourage local men to utilise the support services available to them.
In 2009 the MATES brochure was re-launched with the assistance of some generous local businesses. The revised MATES brochure contains a list of resources and features Mark Richards, Marc Glanville and Craig Hamilton, three local men who know the value of mates.
Hard copies of the new brochure are now available for distribution to neighbourhood centres, health agencies, community and not-for-profit groups throughout the Hunter.
