Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter has been running a 24hr Telephone Counselling Service since 1966, receiving up to 11,000 calls every year.
Although we receive some government grant funding, the shortfall we need to make up each year is nearly $240,000. To meet that shortfall, we generate revenue through eight Lifeline Shops, appeals, community grants and events.
Ultimately, it has always been the generosity of local individuals and businesses that has ensured our vital service continues each year.
